Cuts ($508M) to the ISS will reduce the size of the crew and cargo flights and research activities. The deorbit vehicle consumes a large portion ISS operations budget. With funding halved, NASA would be unable to maintain ISS operations or sustain its workforce.
NASA says long-running budget shortfalls may lead to ISS crew and research reductions https://t.co/0FFLSEbbQ2

If the United States chooses not to continue Artemis, then the joint China and Russia's International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) will be the only platform for international space partners to participate. Artemis Accords, the 55 countries that have signed, must lead.
@chemist62116 Yeah and while we’re waiting, we’re going to keep SLS flying, because the last time SpaceX promised to replace a nasa launch system, we relied on Russia for almost a decade. Let’s not make that mistake a second time, and fund SLS until starship actually proves it can work

David Willis is correct. The SLS rocket is the only booster that can achieve the mission of sending astronauts to the Moon. There is no other heavy rocket that will be safe and ready for over a decade.
@chemist62116 It’s a really easy sell when there’s nothing around that can replace it

This is your call to action. If you support NASA, now is the time to get involved.
Senator @SenMarkKelly is leading a letter requesting full funding for NASA Science in FY 2026 and a corresponding increase to the NASA topline. This letter will directly influence the Senate budget that gets released later this summer. This letter is a direct complement to the
