At some point the non elderly are going to push back forcefully against government services being dedicated increasingly to benefit the elderly while the elderly don’t pay their fair share. This is so backwards. The next generation is who we need to subsidize!.

The crusade against property taxes is one of the most destructive policy pushes of the last decade . In particular, deciding that being old exempts you from all taxes is truly stupid. We spend six dollars on the elderly for every 1 dollar we spend on the non elderly!.
There is absolutely no rational reason for a 65 year old who owns their home to still be paying property taxes. It's absurd.
