OK, want to see a neat special effect?
This is a scene from The Howling Man, a 1960 episode of The Twilight Zone.
Check out how this character (the devil in the guise of an imprisoned man) seems to morph.
Is a paper airplane really a good icon to mean "Send my message right where it needs to go, instantly."
Have you paid attention to most folks' paper airplanes and their throwing of them?
Use a paper plane icon to post and the electrons might spin a bit and crash to the floor.

Google saying it's for safety instead of saying they don't want to pay for storage if they aren't making money off ads you see using Google services is especially low.

A grapefruit is a cross between a sweet orange and a pomelo.
Ruby Red grapefruit were produced by using radiation to induce mutations in pink grapefruit, a process known as is "atomic gardening". There is an Atomic Gardening Society.

I have read that X now shows threads less if there is a link in the initial post.
In your post about your blog post, you had a link in it.
My understanding is that you'd do better to describe the blog entry in one X post and then put the link to in in a reply.

He was pardoned for contempt of court, and contempt of court is not something that would lead to civil suits? Or am I reading it wrong?
Twitter's AI bot problem:
Pic 1: spam account posts AI-generated *description* of an image without the image.
Pics 2-4
Swarms of blue-check verified bots reply with equally generated replies complimenting the nonexistent image.

You have to click on links and read the article to know what articles say.

Wikipedia deleted my user page for having a few sentences about me that weren't directly related to Wikipedia.
The wikirati do not enforce the rules fairly.
This greatly reduced my Wikipedia editing.

No, that's how we will install multi floppy disk software in the 3090s.
Super advanced.
Back in the 90s we'd stand about 3 yards away and carefully throw the disks into the slots.

Does this autoadjust-colors one look realer? (It's brighter and more saturated)
Or this manually adjust one? (desaturated)
I think the desaturated one looks realer.
Eric Adams says he plans to clear NYC homeless encampments within the next two weeks, and he's considering adding drones that cost up to $100,000 to the NYPD budget to surveil New Yorkers. So it's time to look at wtf is happening with Adams and the NYPD. 🧵

Governments have big PR budgets and they give out lots of stolen loot. People want the loot, so they believe what the government says. It's materially motivated belief.
People continue to believe in crap like astrology and gods.
I know your question was rhetorical.

3 logicians walk into a bar.
The bartender asks: 'Does everyone want a drink?'
The 1st says: 'I don't. No.'
The 2nd says: 'I don't. No.'
The 3rd: 'I'm not sure. The difference between "I don't know" and "I don't. No" is subtle. I'll have a beer."

How often do grocery stores and supermarkets get robbed for their cash?

The safe places in the metaverse will look like churches and city halls filled with prosperous looking people and the crooks will hang out in virtual dark alleys wearing bloody clothes.
This will make it very easy to stay safe in the metaverse, the same as in the real world.

There's a kind of individualist, free market thinking often called right wing that opposes government interference in people's personal and economic affairs, that's been around a long time. Supporting the right to be a sex worker or customer by such folk is not new or surprising.

I prefer freedom of speech to having the government being able you to punish you for publishing pictures of news events. The killers are to blame for any consequences of their actions, not those who publish pictures, videos, stories, or audio of the events.

A clear skull with something to simulate whatever is between the brain and the skull might look a little different.
Might look better but actually be worse.

The right for people and their goods, services, and money to cross national borders is a very important individual freedom.
Brexit, from what I saw, was framed as supportive of individual freedom, protecting freedom from "foreign" governments.
That always seemed stupid to me.
