Finally got power back today after losing it on Sunday! Feeling very grateful but also worried for those still waiting. I’m eager to join this phone bank to check on our senior citizens and help where I can!
We made over 151,000 calls to senior citizens in Texas tonight. One of our vols talked to a man stranded at home w/out power in Killeen, hadn’t eaten in 2 days, got him a ride to a warming center and a hot meal. Help us reach more people, join us tomorrow:

A new day. A new era. I want to help. I would like to be Director of a (not yet established) White House Office on Equity. Or Secretary of a (not yet established) Department for Anti-Racism and Equity (DARE). Let’s DARE to do this work through all of government now!

When trust in science and public health is especially essential, Trump continues to betray this country into harm and erode the people’s trust in us while undermining our hard work and values. It is hard to believe this is even reality.

Had a goals of care discussion with a patient who only wanted to vote and go home. Happy to say he got his absentee ballot and voted prior to discharge! For the rest of us that don’t need to worry about their last vote counting, early voting started!

A victory for voting rights, at least for now. We expect an appeal & will continue fighting. Irrespective of this litigation, we’ve implemented many policies to make voting safer and more accessible. Our voters won’t be discouraged!! Visit https://t.co/NDnz7XUUuX & plan to vote!

Have I mentioned recently how frustrated I am by drug pricing in America? A drug developed over 10 years ago, studied with tax-payer money, and with unclear benefit is about to result in a $9 billion profit for Gilead.

The commercial success of remdesivir, despite its narrow benefit for hospitalized coronavirus patients, highlights the lack of potent tools for doctors six months into the pandemic.
