One of the purposes of HMSQNLZ’s flight deck is to launch and recover aircraft but the other is as a floating running track. 12 times round for a 5km park run. Some of us are training for the virtual London Marathon - just hope there’s no headwind that day! @HMSQNLZ @royalnavy

As a former teacher myself I would of course be delighted if young people felt the urge to look more closely at a career in the @RoyalNavy or @RoyalMarines - if my films provide impetus in that direction all well and good. But they’re not PR films. I try to tell it how it is.
I had a wonderful dream last night where my next job was as an officer in @RoyalNavy. Undoubtedly influenced by watching @ChrisTerrill's brilliant doc on @HMSQNLZ (via @bbciplayer). All teachers should watch it >.

As a fair minded liberal I would urge a moderate solution to the protests. Isolate the far left and far right wing activists, pull out the police and let the thugs loose on each other. Come nightfall send in troops to pick off survivors. Job done.
