Citing a nonexistent crime crisis, Trump plans to take over the Washington DC police and put troops in the streets of the nation's capital. Contrary to his claims, violent crime in DC is at a 30-year low. @katierogers @campbellnyt @ChrisCameronNYT

Audiotape of Biden's 2023 interview with Hur, released by Trump team to undermine the ex-president, captures Biden's whispery voice, confusion and memory lapses, adding to the furor over his decline in office and decision to run again. @ChrisCameronNYT

So much of American diplomacy has become pure performance--an obsession with *saying* this or that. The reason the failed establishment hates President Donald J. Trump is because he chooses his words carefully and, more importantly, is much more focused on *doing*.

"Vance reviewed the prisoners’ badges, which identified them by classifications such as immigrants or homosexuals. He and his wife paused at the end of the tour in front of a wall that said, “Never Again” in multiple languages." WaPo on VP Vance visit to Dachau.

Yesterday, Rachel Powell, who smashed a window and urged rioters to take the Capitol on Jan. 6, was released from the DC jail. She showed off a stick & poke tattoo “J6” done inside. At the time of her 2023 sentencing, she said she was “deeply ashamed” of her behavior that day.

Vance rarely spoke to the press on the plane - he usually only took questions at his rallies - but he came back to the rear section twice that day to apologize. The second time, he handed out apology cards - addressed from his dog, Atlas - and scented candles to the press

Vance's kids weren't with him the day it happened. It was storming in Cincinnati. Vance boarded with Usha alone. His dog Atlas appeared to be stressed out either by the weather or the plane ride. I can't remember exactly when it happened, but it was a 2 hour flight to Orlando
