12/ While I focused on just a section of the research process, the paper results obviously speak to the question, “why does this matter?”. Ultimately, I encourage my classmates to read the paper for themselves to gain a full understanding of its broader implications.

11/ This connects to a brief discussion we had based on Wagstaff’s ‘ML that Matters’ paper, which discusses how researchers should be more discerning about their data sets, metrics, & results in order to further the real world impact. Joy and Timnit have exemplified this ideal.
