A colleague inspired me to tweet again: enjoyed a fantastic weekend away in our new VW campervan to the dystopian industrial skyscape and endless pebbles of Dungeness. Best of all was oysters & scallops from the Fish Hut/Snack Shack - best Lady Y and I have ever had!

Enjoyed @SQEP_Ltd’s 10th Anniversary bash last night in Bristol - here with Paul our MD & Sarah our CFO. The whole (growing) company team was joined by some 40 guests, customers and supporters for a fun evening. Great networking & lots of opportunities for the next 10 years.

Delighted to have judged at today’s Tom Nevard Memorial Competition for top @DefenceES Apprentices: design, project manage, manufacture & trial a ‘drone’ in a week - great teamwork & multidisciplinary future talent on display. Congrats to Team Black Hawk the winner!

I do recall there being circa 100 Iraqi PoWs in a single Chinook during Gulf War 1: I was sitting in the jump seat at the time. No-one needed to push them in!
We can safely say that this is no longer an approved method of loading a Chinook!

As one gets older, I admit my body is starting to ache. So I’ve followed Lady Y’s long-term lead and taken up Yoga. Here, I’m explaining to her the new position I’d learnt this morning. I recommend Yoga to all older blokes: it’s fun & improves strength, balance & flexibility.

First message for a while: very happy as this is my first cycle ride since August last year. Had a couple of minor hiccups, though now feeling great and even went to my first ever yoga lesson yesterday. The inevitable aches are definitely worth it!
