We were the first international asset to be requested on the afternoon of 23rd July. Despite being on 1 hours notice, the Chinook was airborne in just 42 minutes from activation. This was the culmination of months of effort by @RAF_Odiham and @RAFAkrotiri personnel.

Our aircraft and crews are involved in the multinational effort to fight the wildfires in Cyprus. Today, approximately 500 tonnes of water was dropped by Chinook. Our personnel are working around the clock to enable this lifesaving activity.

Supporting the @BritishArmy is our core business. Engineers, operations staff, safety equipment specialists, and aircrew all with the same goal. We deliver.
Our airborne gunners have been working closely with the @RoyalAirForce 🤝. During the joint exercise, ground crew from 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery successfully secured artillery guns and vehicles to a Chinook helicopter. Regular training ensures our soldiers

On Monday, we worked with the Sovereign Base Area Fire Services to tackle a forest fire near @RAFAkrotiri. The aircraft dropped 110 tonnes of water to extinguish the blaze, but launching the alert aircraft is a whole force effort. #StrongerTogether

While on a routine training sortie this afternoon, 1310 flight (currently crewed by 18 Squadron) extinguished their first fire on the Sovereign Base Area of Cyprus near @RAFAkrotiri 🔥.The new capability was brought in by @RAF_Odiham in a very short period. Good work all round!

We've been out in Estonia supporting @Kaitsevagi in Exercise #hedgehog25 (their annual readiness exercise) and recently worked with the @LANCS_REGT. The Chinook can lift a platoon of troops where it's needed by day and night in any weather. #StrongerTogether #WeAreNATO

And just like that we're 110! Our squadron was formed at @RAFNortholt as part of the Royal Flying Corps. Over a century of being deployed all over the globe in support of @DefenceHQ missions.
