We're proud to announce the Grand Opening of our first International Billy Goat Tavern!
Located in Billy "Goat" Sianis' home country of Greece, Billy Goat Tavern is the first restaurant permitted atop the Acropolis to serve weary tourists a world-famous cheezborger!
Fittingly, Mike's last column, which runs March 21, 1997 is about the curse. He writes, "It's about time that we stopped blaming the failings of the Cubs on a poor, dumb creature that is a billy goat."
Remembering Mike Royko, who passed away April 29, 1997.
Sam says in May 2000, "Now that you are gone I am going to keep your name alive. I’m going to make sure your name will live forever.'”
Maybe if we’d had a Billy Goat at Meigs Field, it would still be there.
Fortunately, you can still visit Billy Goat locations at O’Hare and Midway!
March 30th 2003.
