Researching the impact of the cost of living crisis on people who formula feed their babies. Personal account, lived experience of bipolar disorder
Wales, United Kingdom
Joined November 2023
In 30 mins I’m joining a session on my deep work platform called “wardrobe revamp”. It’s to give each other motivation and accountability to review the contents of our closets. I know I have lots to donate or sell, but I’ve had trouble making myself focus. Hope this will help!

Find me on Bluesky @CharlRWalker.bsky.social as I’ll be wrapping my Twitter account up very soon. I only came back after quitting in 2022 because I missed the #MadTwitter crowd too much, but I feel like everyone’s jumping ship now anyway

I had therapy in my lunch break, we picked apart my upsetting dream and its links to some traumatic things in my past and my sense of responsibility for my physically disabled dad and my autistic son who also has bipolar. I felt validated and much better after the session.

The only ones exempt from Freedom of Information law are Royal Household MI5 MI6 National Crime Agency The Church of England. Why the last one?
@churchofengland should now work with the Cabinet Office to designate bishops, dioceses, cathedrals, and Church NCIs as public authorities for the purpose of the Freedom of Information Act. Power and privilege of exemption breeds a culture of secrecy.

It would be tragic if the NHS could find the money to do an assessment on whether someone had the right to take their own life, but not for a psychiatric assessment that could open the door to a diagnosis and life saving treatment and support.
Quite the intervention on Assisted Dying from Wes Streeting. Says it will come at they expense of other NHS services Although he says other health ministers would deal with the detail wouldn’t it still be tricky for him to remain health secretary if AD passes

This story has made me unbearably sad Baby red panda died from firework stress, says zoo

Three-month-old Roxie choked on her own vomit as fireworks were being set off across Edinburgh on Bonfire Night.

Please, please, just don’t comment upon someone’s bodyweight. Even if you think it’s a complement. It’s not. It’s horrible and intrusive and rude. #badstarttomyday

@jamesldowns For people with painful terminal conditions it more than likely does and allows them to approach their end with less fear but unfortunately we live in a country where people are cheaper dead than using NHS and social resources

A Norwegian version of the idiom “like a fish out of water” translates to “like a Dane on skis.” And an old Norwegian phrase for someone sneaking out of a party without saying bye is “making a Swede of oneself.” Conversely, a Finnish euphemism for vomiting is “speaking Norwegian”

The first Teal of the winter to be ringed at Swindon STW. These lovely little ducks breed around the Arctic Circle and return to us each winter. It's always love to see and hear them back.

Medical racism kills.... also, he already knew he had Sickle Cell, you get told at an early age, so he didn't self-diagnose. The hospital staff ignored him. Because of MEDICAL RACISM 👇🏾
