Police sexual violence impacts nearly 1 in 5 NYers yet <1% of police officers who commit these acts are held accountable. This crisis must be addressed through oversight, transparency & accountability. Read our new report https://t.co/OTXgxldIyt & article https://t.co/fpTsaLAcRM

@NYCMayor Just last week @LegalAidNYC said “It’s being used in neighborhoods that are traditionally overpoliced...that’s where they’re using their discretion the most to enforce these kind of low level offenses" in response to police to issuing more civil summonses. https://t.co/hYimJvVqAe

New York City’s outgoing mayor has directed police to issue more civil summonses, sparking concerns the practice is undermining a city reform. Will the next mayor take a different path?

The last thing we need at a time when overpolicing is prevalent in our communities is the addition of NYPD officers. Even as an outgoing mayor @NYCMayor is committed to expanding and bolstering the NYPD.

Despite NYPD misconduct & impunity continuing to dominate the news cycle, @NYCMayor & @NYPDPC are furthering their agenda of expanding NYPD presence in our communities, which we know disproportionately harms & targets NYers in our vulnerable communities. https://t.co/jX8l5D3dGI

Last week, hundreds supported #AllanFeliz's family as they protested Commish Tisch's outrageous preliminary decision to let Lt. Rivera walk - despite her own deputy finding him GUILTY. On Friday, the CCRB agreed that @NYPDC must fire Rivera - now she just has to follow through!
