As we enter a new year I enter a new phase of my ministry too. My final service at St Katharine's is done & next week I begin as Family & Children's Minister at St Mary the Virgin, Goldington, Bedford, @diostalbans. Exciting times! #layministry #movingon #faithinfamilies

As we seem to be hurtling towards Advent, I'm so grateful for a few days away to rest, walk & study. The last couple of days have been glorious & I've explored Rhossili Bay, Mumbles (no pics), & Port Eynon. Didn't even need a coat today. #gowerpeninsular #gratefuleveryday

Back to ministry last Sunday and NHS job today, but holding onto happy memories of life after Cs cancer - and loving that her hair now gets in her face in the sea breeze! #TYACancer #HodgkinLymphoma #remission #twoyears #gratefuleveryday

So I devour @ellygriffiths Ruth Galloway novels but have never explored the salt marshes and coastline of North Norfolk before - just day trips to Hunstanton. Can absolutely see the appeal now!

A peaceful stary to Sunday at Blakeney. Coffee in the garden, chatting with God and watching the paddleboarders and boats #holidays #restandrestore #selfcare

Three home communion / pastoral visits this weekend have reminded me of the intense pain of loneliness experienced by many of our elderlyπͺπͺπ

Back here this week for Cs latest cancer check up. All going well on the cancer front but she still struggles a lot with ongoing chemo side effects - regulating body temperature and chronic fatigue particularly troublesome. #HodgkinsLymphoma #TYAcancer #2yearsremission

Sometimes working from home is great. Sometimes you have to share your chair during a meeting. ..

Pertinent reminder. Last essay of MA Y2 submitted yesterday. House cleaned. H & L away for weekend with their dalmatian puppy so just me and my little old dog. So much Church admin & prep to do plus some NHS stuff I want to catch up on but today I rest. Just rest. #selfcare

My amazing MA colleagues have their results for latest essay - the last of 2nd year. Having been poorly I'm still slaving away through brain fog, fatigue, our interregnum & NHS job so have another 2 weeks. In the Diocesan library today. Goliath has left his boots behind again!

You know that you had fun at toddler group when your feet are splattered with blue paint and you needed a nap when you got home! #layministry #toddlerministry #familyministry

On 1st day of nurse training I met C & D. 41 years later we have 2 husbands, 7 kid & 2 grandkids between us. All still working in NHS. Been through many ups & downs together. Met up for lunch today & I was reminded how blessed I am by these friendships! #gratefuleveryday
