We bring students to the Civil War Memorial to help them understand their civil war history so that as future leaders they can avoid errors that lead to violent conflict. At the Tomb of the Unknown Civilian they hear about unknown persons in mass graves across Sierra Leone.

What does it mean to inherit trauma? Researchers @SandrineGisele Irakoze & Dr @kirrilypells explore how second-generation survivors in #Rwanda understand, experience, and transform intergenerational trauma. A powerful study on healing and resilience 👇 https://t.co/cpUyyCRTrB

The TRC wrote that “behind every mass grave is a tragic story.” On the 21st anniversary of its report we brought students together at the Civil War Memorial in Lungi to learn about their past as future leaders of Sierra Leone. This exhibition is on mass graves. #membausaywikomot
