Want to use @Twitter for sci communication in the classroom? CBEC faculty just published a paper in JMBE. More than Tweets for Undergraduate Student Researchers. Thanks to @mikemorrison for the idea. @arepscor @MicrobialPath @OBUNatSci

RT @profpathogen1: Beautiful work and it is online and open, would be great for teaching @CellBioEd students what cells "really" look like.

First day of class, and I found out I didn't submit a textbook adoption for Cell Bio. time to make the @LibreTexts plunge.

Along with the new Cell Viability Cell Block, @Ouachita students made one on how to graph and present the data. All cell blocks are made by students as part of their independent research experience. #STEM #Arakansas @OBUNatSci

I remember the day the rice genome was sequenced. No more chasing full lenght sequences from my subtraction libray.
Plant genomes sequenced from 2000 to 2020. Techniques including the use of molecular markers, genome mapping, sequencing, and in vitro culture have been applied to breeding, for the improvement of novel varieties.

This concerted effort is the epitomy of collaboration: from the Czech Republic to Cali, to Florida, Arkansas and others, including Puerto Rico (proud to represent my island in this work🇵🇷). Thanks to @samplinghuman and @CellBioEd for coordinating this. @CienciaPR @interpuertorico.

Almost half of the users were undergraduate students and PUI faculty. Thank you for partnering with the CBEC! #STEM @CURinAction @CURENet1 @arepscor @OBUNatSci @NHEPSCoR #Arkansas.
R.PRJ brought together 30 users across 12 laboratories to test reproducibility of our single-cell measurement technology. Hear from participants and learn more about the study from the R.PRJ video.

At the end of our first NSF grant, we created 76 "Cell Block" videos. All made by undergraduates as part of their independent research or #CURE. The CBEC YouTube channel has over 1,000 subscribers and over 77K views.

English version of the newest @cbioportal in the classroom Cell Block by Dr. Padilla and her students @InterAguadilla. Our Spanish/English playlist is a full series on developing a CURE analyzing genomic data. @CURENet1 #STEM.
Did I mention they made Spanish and English versions of their Cell Blocks? How Cool? This helps us reach a wider audience and help more students and faculty.

Thank you. And for the record we do always recommend your services.
@CellBioEd Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We just sent you an email with some more information.

Sent our bacteria to be sequenced by @plasmidsaurus. We got spill over contamination from another sample. Email from them says it happens. Essentially, it is our bad luck, and if we want to redo it, we can send more DNA and pay again. Is this normal?.
