I cannot even begin to comprehend this mindset. I used to feel this after covering horrendous court cases, how can anyone do and say these things? A Barrister reminded me if I ever could comprehend, that was the time to start worrying.

Kate McCann says, "So it's acceptable to joke about raping a woman?" And Carl Benjamin says - well, shouts - "YES! ANY QUESTIONS?" The thing is Carl: you don't look like you're joking. You look like you're consumed with rage.

I dropped my daughter off at a football camp today- she's one of just 3 girls there. The coaches referred to the group as " fellas", "lads" & " boys". It's this kind of everyday sexism which carelessly drips feeds into the lives of girls & women. #sexism #footballcoach #football

Congratulations to Katie Bouman to whom we owe the first photograph of a black hole ever. Not seeing her name circulate nearly enough in the press. Amazing work. And here’s to more women in science (getting their credit and being remembered in history) 💥🔥☄️

Dear EU When this all goes to shit, please remember that half of us don’t even want this to happen & we have no representation. It wasn’t even a clear win, it was a split vote. In science we would never be able to call 51.9/48.1 a ‘majority’ or generalise. Send help. Love, 48%

Handy reminder of all the times there wasn’t a crack in Theresa May’s voice: Grenfell, Windrush, refusal to accept child refugees in 2016. You’re welcome.

Women all have stories like these. I was 19 and doing voluntary work at my local radio station, 1 of the team said I’d only be allowed to continue if I slept with him. As women too often, we have to make risk assessments for our own safety. #Harassment #WomenTellAll #safety
