One of my favorite things about Jesse Johnson is that the brother wears his heart on his sleeve. In his music, in his interviews. His performances at Celebration have been phenomenal, and knowing how tough it was for him just makes me appreciate it even more 💜.

This is not to say that local scenes are not important, they are. What it actually means is all local scenes will become more diverse, because your local indie band got really into some obscure metal/dream/country/hip-hop band from Indonesia or something 😜.

No, I don't think so. The concept of regions at least as it relates to inspirational creative input inherently means less in a digital world in comparison to a time where a higher proportion of what was available had geographic constraints. Forcing it would be a facsimile.

I've been trying to buy a house since late last year, and the whole process has been so messed up on multiple levels - from the agents to the sellers to the lawyers - that I might just say f**k it and keep all my money liquid instead. Too much drama.
