People warned that lockdown would have economic consequences. The current analysis neglects to mention it. I guess it’s easier to blame the current situation on a mini budget that never was.

We could blame the mini budget, or we could blame the way it was so poorly delivered.
Or we could blame Covid for making the mini budget unaffordable at this time.
Or we could blame Brexit for making it unaffordable.
But the markets were quite clear that they didn’t like it.

It turns out that many other countries locked down too. You could look at the economies of these countries and their recovery rates and compare them with ours.

IEA backed mini budget…crashed the economy. Brexit has bigger consequences than the lockdown. I guess we’re in rewriting history mode.
