I'm old enough to remember Big Dog Robinson asking for a 13 year $100 million contract in 94. And settling for less. That was a big reason the rookie salary structure went into place But if thats not in place, that changes the entire dynamic in drafting cost controlled contracts

@ShamsCharania It’s funny they think “tanking” is the problem. They have too many teams and that means lots of teams with no superstar and you can’t realistically win without one. If don’t let bad teams get good players they will never be competitive again. Parity ≠ good.
