On the 5th June 2015, I joined the ACF having never been a cadet and at the time I was actually younger than some of the cadets by a few months. 10 years have flown by and I've dedicated more than a 1/3 of my life to cadets now, wild to think of it like that!💜

That's 3 DofE Young Leader within the Black Watch Bn ACF now with 2 more nearly finished as well. A great team has formed and the support and guidance they're providing for their peers is outstanding 👌.

Last couple of months have been as busy as ever with the cadet world 🎄. ✅Remembrance Parade.✅Korea Coy Award Ceremony Evening.✅Dunkeld Santa Day.✅CSO Conference.✅ CTT Trg Days. I didn't make it to Edinburgh Castle with the CSOs but you wouldn't have noticed.

What an achievement! Cpl Held is doing a brilliantly in her cadet and DofE journey. She has been a massive help in promoting and delivering DofE within the Battalion 👏. She's also very close to achieving her Gold Award 👀🌟. @ACFADofE.

Whenever I get asked about my job, I always say that every day is different. Yesterday I had a great day on the range supporting Glenalmond College CCF for their training day, today, I'm 5493 words into an upskilling course assessment. I think it's obvious which day was better.

An absolutely brilliant weekend at the Sport, Energy & STEM Festival in Perth. Cadets and CFAVs from all round the @BWACF Battalion coming together for a weekend of promoting the ACF, volunteering in the community and even some PT 💪😁

First time planning and running a Battalion camp this weekend. So much was achieved from Basics all the way up to our new CFAVs. The camp was full on with lots of practical training and having the sun made it even better☀️. ✅ Happy CFAVs.✅ Accomplished Cadets .✅ A tired Abi

Great couple of days at the CSO Conference at Frimley Park. Lots of interesting speakers & the opportunity to share knowledge and best practices. With a whole lot of laughter piled in too, we do feel sorry for Susie our manager sometimes 😂. Some may also say this is #squadgoals

"No plan survives contact with the enemy" - by Sunday (the 2nd day of camp) I was on Plan H (all outwith Bn control). Adapt and overcome; the cadets smashed it, they learnt lots, had fun and got absolutely battered by the Scottish weather. Sounds like success to me👌

I overpack, I have forever over packed, I will continue to overpack, however the fact I have 5 bags for Spring Camp is bringing a bit of shame. Enough shame to reduce the bags? No. (I am running expeds for 6 days and bringing all my own kit and food - bit of credit given)
