IF, and it’s a big IF, he can pitch comfortably with a higher arm slot, there’s reason to believe he can more effectively pitch as a North/South FB/KNCV pitcher. He’s not straight up East/West as it stands, but I’m saying he could lean into the vertical break more.

On the left is German Marquez’s movement profile from 2018 (best season) and on the right is 2025. Huge dropoff in vertical break on the fastball and overall break on the curveball. Getting out of Coors will naturally help CB, but he could be a candidate for a raised arm slot.
