At the CLS, we have to get machine parts from all over the world—you can't find them at the hardware store. But our QMSC beamline's insertion device is different: it was made at home in Saskatchewan. This device wiggles the electrons, making incredibly bright light. #AroundTheCLS

Over the past several weeks, we’ve made steady progress with commissioning our new linear accelerator (linac). We are thrilled to share that the first phase of the planned radiofrequency (RF) conditioning has been successfully completed – a major milestone on the path.
