My parents and big sisters were forced to flee on foot from Iran in the mid-80s. Smuggled from Turkey to Yugoslavia, they eventually found a new home in Camden. So proud that Camden officially became a Borough of Sanctuary last night, and to be able to share their story.

Our team had a blast at @FairintheSquare! Our Director Katherine's highlight was speaking with our local Councillors @annawrightwho and @Camron_aref, MP @TulipSiddiq, #LondonAssembly Member @annebclarke and of course seeing @highgatesociety's Lucy, a 1930s tailor's mannequin.

We’re getting on with playing our part to address the housing crisis in Camden. Our 2 new hostels have been part funded by this Labour Governments Brownfield Land Release Fund. An example of what a Labour Council and Government can achieve together.

Pleased to attend the groundbreaking of the redevelopment of the hostel at 2 Chester road, which will provide 50 temporary homes for families. We know we are facing a temporary accommodation crisis and this is just one example of the action we are taking to tackle this. 🏗️ 🏠

Fantastic to attend the re-opening of Highgate library after a £1.9 million project that has repaired and refurbished the library, while at the same time radically reducing carbon emissions!

CNJ team captain @MaskellCaitlin with the team captains at the Hamper Cup at Coram’s Fields last night. Lib Dems beat Labour, CNJ beat Lib Dems and Labour, um, beat CNJ. All tied on points and goals scored. Lots of discussion over who gets the trophy but more than £1.5k raised.

I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the restored Memorial Pond at Holly Lodge, dedicated to the women workers the estate was built for after WWI. It was great to see the pond returned to its former glory and unveiled by Dame Jenny Abramsky, who was born on the estate.
