@SpiritAirlines On an upcoming $65 @SpiritAirlines flight from AUS to FLL (the same nightmare flight we took this past Sunday) the cost of flight is $7.44 with carrier fees making up $57.45. This means our $100 voucher is actually only an $8 voucher with $92 being automatically thrown away. (2)

Continuing our @SpiritAirlines thread from Sunday, the airline finally DM’d me and offered a $100 future travel voucher. The voucher covers the cost of a @SpiritAirlines flight EXCLUDING any carrier fees and are valid for a single-use with no remaining value after its use. (1)

@SpiritAirlines Reason for flight delay of aircraft arriving in AUS from FLL was given as “air traffic control”. Based on our arrival issues at @FLLFlyer and the pilots description of what a mess things are at this airport, this sounds like a much larger issue.

@SpiritAirlines 1hour 10mins on runway at @FLLFlyer with no gate for our plane. Passengers getting restless. Flight attendant just updated us that “there is no update”. Captain announced there’s no gate and airport is “short staffed”. Water will be distributed “free of charge”.

No water or any sort of beverage offered entire flight after 4:30 delay. Still on runway 45 min after landing. @SpiritAirlines flight attendant just yelled at passengers telling us to “Get real” and stormed back to her seat when asked by passengers to please let us off the plane

@SpiritAirlines Arriving 4:35 late at @FLLFlyer on @SpiritAirlines flight 512 and somehow they have not prepared a gate for our arrival. Sat on runway for 30!minutes and counting. Captain told us there’s no plan for a gate to be cleared for us. It is 3:13AM local time.

@SpiritAirlines @SpiritAirlines customer service agent offered to help me earlier, instructing me to file a complaint online and telling me I would receive an immediate email response and airline voucher. When I asked if she’d stay on the line while I filed the complaint she hung up on me.
