I try to remind myself when I'm out in public that anyone passing me could be someone like this, and then I like strangers more. Extra points if he likes dogs as little as I do. I'd still do this for a dog, but I do it faster for a cat. I'm getting off subject. The guy rules.

Multiple storms ruined the bridge, and after a while locals thought the movie was cursed and ruined the bridge on purpose, so they moved to a different country. The wind and rain is coming from a helicopter hovering low, its all practical, Friedkin was a crazy person.

The math on this image is insane. New Horizons transmitted at 2,000 bits per second from 3 billion miles away. Slower than a 1990s dial-up modem. It took 16 months to download all the flyby data. The spacecraft had to hit a target box 100km wide, arriving within 150 seconds

One of my favorite sayings, I remind myself constantly. I also like saying it in Latin, I feel like I'm connecting to a collective human experience beyond space and time.

Damnit man, can we not have ONE pure fucking thing we all agree upon?! It's Barry Sanders guys! People in here SOMEHOW finding ways to lessen what he did, that's weird and sad and just wrong. Throw some praise up, and move on. Never thought I'd see the day.
