Brain, guts, and circulatory system of a Cambrian arthropod larva! The most amazingly preserved fossil I have ever seen. https://t.co/YGnHMPNERI Lucky to have been a part of this project led by Martin Smith and Emma Long. @PalaeoSmith @DurUniEarthSci @durham_uni

Dear #IPC6 organisers, take note that although the meeting has been mostly great, there is a massive issue with diversity and inclusion practices. No less the phrase “the other gender” when addressing delegates during the conference diner :( we have to do better!!!

Snapshots from #Ediacaran #Cambrian fieldwork in the Mackenzie Mountains 🇨🇦, with team @DurUniEarthSci @LeverhulmeTrust & @UCR_EP_Sci: @CambrianOddity, @PalaeoSmith, Alex Kovalick. Hard field season, but worth it for exciting fossils.

Neurotransmitter GABA seems to make animals sleepy across the board. Dopamine makes many, including flatworms, alert but makes Hydra sleepy. Better sampling of animal tree would be nice. see https://t.co/pzF0NIiJs6

🚨Are 'weird wonders' like Anomalocaris and Opabinia informative on the arthropod stem or evolutionary 'dead ends'?🚨 Check out our #PalAss21 talk in the final session on Monday to find out! @PalaeoSmith @DurUniEarthSci

Arguably the centerpiece of @ROMtoronto #DawnofLife's #OntarioFossils display is this mind blowing faunal slab from the #Ordovician Kirkfield Formation, brimming with #crinoids, #cystoids, #trilobites, and others. I'll be sharing more on this site at #PalAss21 this weekend.
