I just realised I never posted the paper I co-authored on here!! This was initially my 3rd year research project during university and transitioned into a project in my own time. First author was a PhD student looking to get more writing experience. https://t.co/cEU1Npbe6H

Book #6 was The Odyssey Translated by Fagles. I loved my experience with this book and doing it along with @antiquitybc really enhanced the experience. It was great fun seeing where all these tales came from and I still can't wrap my head around this being improvised. 5/5 :3

AI is largely designed to rugpull the West’s intellectual class, and destroy its educational pipeline. Whether it can ever generate a book worth reading is secondary to destroying the industry that will publish ones that might be. And whether it can ever reach a student
@zenpundit We might ask: Who are the Senate in our actual system now? And at whom are recent developments and rhetoric targeted?

Book #4 was the Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, was a real hard read at times as its descriptions of depression and suicidal ideation were so poignant and relatable, but hearing someone say the things I could never put into words gave me an unexpected release. I cried a lot :''3 4.75/5

I'm nearly done reading the bell jar and if ur reading the second half in public I will comfortably say ur being performative :3 I have to stop every 2-3 pages to have a little cry and soothe myself with some short form content

ok ignore the 90 pages on the 30th, I only read like 30 of them and then I skipped all the spoilers in the introduction to the Odyssey to get my buddyread ready for @antiquitybc

Book #2 done. Once this story moved away from following oblonsky so much I was hooked. Levin is genuinely so insightfully written and although I could see the importance of Annas story, I could not help but want more and more of Levin. 5/5, I can't wait to read this again later

ok ive only got 10 pages of Anna Karenina left and its getting to a point where I could nearly underline full pages. I love Levin so much, I shake my head and sigh whenever people call his sections boring, they are by far my favourite parts

I found a new book store in town today and had a lovely chat with the owner. He couldn't believe how many young men buy philosophy and history books rather than sports books these days. These copies of Jane Eyre and Don Quixote are from 1966 and 1950 respectively

feel like a random page of dostoevsky has more insight into the world and human nature than all these books combined
