While I’m encouraged by this range of commitments, I’m also concerned that there are no general fund dollars allocated for affordable housing. After years of meaningful investments, proposed funding in this budget has dropped to the minimum levels required by law.

Key @CHPCNews finding: Although CA has doubled production of new #AffordableHousing in the last 5 years, the state is funding only 12% of what is needed to meet its housing goals. Meanwhile, housing production has fallen from its '22 peak due to declining state/local funding.👇
