Overwhelmed at the amount of support I’ve got since tweeting about leaving SLT, sorry if I haven’t replied to everyone yet😊 I will definitely be replying to everybody and it is so comforting to know others feel the same! Twitter can make it feel like your the only one! 🥺

Really thought provoking #SLTAntiRacism event with the @RCSLT. Cultural inquisitiveness is okay, it's better to be actively involved in trying and learning than being silent. Let's open up safe spaces for discussions to work towards anti-racism. #positivechange

#SLT2Bs #wespeechies can you help me with a project I am carrying out at the moment? How many students are there in your year at university?

Amazing to see our profession represented on BBC News! 😁
ICYMI: Last night, we secured an interview on @BBCNews to discuss the impact of lockdown on children’s speech and language skills. Thank you to Janet Cooper for speaking on this subject and representing the profession! @mpftnhs @KGadhok @Nick_Hewer @MaryHeritage Here’s a clip:

The best thing I’ve ever watched about Autism! Highly recommend taking the time to watch this and reflect on practice! Looking forwards to sharing this with my SLT team! 😁 #mysltday
Here is the recording of my recent talk: "Understanding Autism" from a pro-neurodiversity model. Thankyou to everyone who attended. #AutismAcceptanceMonth #Autism #Neurodivergent #Disability #Ableism #sltchat #SLT

Great to see #selectivemutism featured in the @rcslt_bulletin highlighting a need for #slpeeps to be involved in all SM care pathways-we have invaluable skills to support people with SM #worktodo #mysltday

This little man 🐶 helped me identify a #speechsounddifficulty this week! Talking with a child about my sprocker spaniel & the child says excitedly ‘I have a pocker too’ - after doing a CLEAR this child struggled with all s-clusters! #mysltday

My #mysltday consisted of ✅ Planning a programme to develop a 4 year old boy with ASD into an intentional communicator ✅ Gathering information from parents for a child with dysfluency ✅ Home language assessment for a boy whose school are concerned - turns out they were WNL!

Oscar has learned to sit 🐶 Very proud of him! It’s safe to say that coming home to this little bundle of joy everyday is really helping me get through my week on the wards 👩⚕️
