Your solidarity makes a difference to survivors, more than you know. And remember, if you give before 15 October, every penny you donate will be doubled – meaning your impact will go twice as far. Take your solidarity further: https://t.co/KT9KWwyZAT

Survivors are being asked to recount unrelated reports of previous abuse in front of a jury, which can then be wrongly used to undermine their case – with devastating effects. We're campaigning to change this. Join us. Write to your MP now. https://t.co/6HD2SaApSA

Hi Laura, that’s not correct. There was a whole strand of the inquiry on ‘grooming gangs’. I was a core participant and here’s the report:
iicsa.org.uk
The IICSA inquiry did not focus on grooming gangs. I worked on it at the time. It was very broad - covering everything from the Anglican Church to Dolphin Square and its focus was historic. Alexis Jay did not chair it for 7 years. She was its fourth Chair 1/

@SukwantDhaliwal The responses from the floor are passionate and remind me of a concept I heard a few weeks ago in South Africa 'a negligence of policy'. It was intended to alert us that some absences are deliberate and chosen- the neglect can be intentional
