I have decided to go completely dark on The Batman Pt 2. No posters, trailers, Twitter leaks, nothing.

James Gunn is really good at making his movies funny, while never undercutting the emotional moments. I think it's what makes his cape flicks really work. Like yeah this comic book stuff is all kind of ridiculous, but the emotional core at the center is very real.

Every screen is an imax screen if you're close enough.

I do wonder if you could cut together a version of Dead Reckoning and Final Reckoning that would flow/be interesting. Someone get Topher Grace on this.

Sure Final Reckoning is kind of a mess and I really wish it was cleaner, but also my body felt like it was going to implode on itself and create a black hole in the middle of the theater. And isn't that why we go to the movies?.

My conspiracy theory around this, is Tom is trying to directly support theater chains by encouraging everyone to get concessions.

Jokes on all of you, even if Final Reckoning is "bad", I still get to listen to McQ talk about filmmaking for 10+ hours.

One of my favorite superhero performances is Pattinson as Batman. He's doing so much with his eyes. Without that tool, Charlie is doing some much with his jaw. It's great.

Charlie Cox is doing some phenomenal jaw acting.

are weak at best, which sucks because that was a standout in the Netflix series. I don't know. In the end I think there's *something* there. And when D+ has been full of a lot of nothing for me, I'll take it.

I'm mixed on Born Again so far. Can feel the two ideas clashing and having to massage them together. I think it's shot pretty well, i.e. it wants to have a visual identity and I think it does so far. Love it's focus on New York, and Cox is still fantastic, but its side characters.

I think this officially elevates Chalamet to one of THE white guys of all time.

Timothee's performance as Dylan has really stuck with me. It's not so much his mannerisms or how he's conveying Dylan, but just how much heart and soul and a deep longing he's able to get at. Truly great stuff.

Not that you need to hear it from me, but Raiders is a perfect movie.
