After seeing paintball being played on baseball field. I am convinced that sports field managers are not paid enough for all the sports being played on a field. I mean how do you even clean the paintballs up?

I was able to verticut the field by @DoubleD_Turf, they did a fantastic job. We did this 2 yrs ago and the results were great. Getting ready to aerate, overseed, and top dress in about a month. This is a great time to repair the summer damage. @puglisiBaseball @AlLeiter22

Since we are getting our turf football field replaced, we had to transition to use an alternate field, which was our middle school soccer field. I was extremely happy with the results of how it turned out. Now we are aerating, seeding and top dressing before practices start

Happy where the field is so far this year, dealing with all 4 seasons in April can be challenging but my crew have been fantastic this whole season not only on this field but the whole school. Next app soon, can’t wait for the SCT semifinals.

The crew has been fantastic this season. Getting this logo in between our schedule and the rain early was tough. There has been a huge improvement with Norm Shelby Field the past few years and it couldn’t be done with out the support of our board, admin, and AD.

Tried something last year and it worked out, we are in a very windy area where the field sits. So instead of taking the windscreen off and on every year. We roll it up and zip tie it around the yellow tubing, saves a lot of time and effort.

This is about 4 weeks after core aerating, overseeding with a 50/50 blend of Bluegrass/Ryegrass. Top dressed with a 60/20/20 sand, peat, topsoil mix. The district continues to support sports field management.

Our season ended, however @AlLeiter22 Ballpark held up really well this year. Our maintenance practices worked well and the guys were on point daily. The district is a great supporter of sports field management and it shows @FieldExperts

When the field was renovated the sidelines were left original with a lot of weeds. We have done a good job with reducing weeds, but with some Poa left over. So daily we use the tool in the picture to rip out the area and basically use a divot mix
