A little bit of surface refinement on the greens, to keep them as true as possible. Light verti-cut, followed by a cut, top dress and brush in. Holes have been changed ahead of tomorrow’s competition. ⛳️

Big congratulations to CRGC’s Alfie Yearsley winning the Royton Sword with a solid 73+68=141, & also @Brampton_GC’s Andrew Hunter with 66+70=136 to win the Salver. Lots of positive feedback about the course today, we hope to see another full field again next year⛳️🏌🏻☀️

Course is looking exceptional heading into a busy weekend, starting today with Royton CC golf day. Cut & iron on the greens today. Tomorrow is the captains first round, & Sunday we have the Royton Sword 36 hole scratch. Good luck to all of the players this weekend, & enjoy⛳️☀️🍻

Busy day on the course. Fairways & surrounds cut, 9th tee extension had a few cuts to get the height down. 10th and 15th stream banks strimmed and tidied, along with the back of the 13th green. Most of the GUR areas have also been reseeded and soiled.⛳️⛳️

The golf course is looking brilliant heading into a very busy period. Green have recovered great from Mondays work and are rolling great. Have a good weekend and play well⛳️⛳️

Nice positive start to the week with some greens maintenance. A verti-cut, which removes thatch from the top of the surface & stands up all the grasses on the green, keeping the greens nice & smooth. Followed by a cut and feed of tx10 & a light watering. @terralift @Aitkens_turf

The course is looking on point ahead of the Club Championship. The warm weather is back and is baking the course out, to make the conditions a little tougher. Big thank you to the 11 volunteers, who last night did a divot on the fairways - you’re help is much appreciated☀️⛳️

Centenary Major tomorrow at CRGC & full course cut. We’ve had multiple breakdowns, including 2 tractors being towed - but the lads have smashed it. New flags are out & looking very smart, thanks to member Chris peers for the sponsorship. Cut & iron on greens tomorrow. Play well⛳️

Recent heavy rainfall has really helped perk the course up, and we’re staring to get recovery from winter. Cut on the greens this morning & cutting height dropped. Tees have had a cut and majority of fairways have been cut. Long rough next to the 15th green strimmed down also.⛳️
