Our team took time to trade meetings for missions and enjoy some well-earned team bonding at Beat the Bomb. I’m proud to lead a group that brings focus, energy, and joy to everything we do. When we balance hard work with intentional play, we come back stronger—and ready to serve.

Chatted this morning with the inspiring youth of @BGCGW. Their passion is a powerful reminder of why I’m proud to fight for full funding this budget season. Our young people deserve every opportunity to thrive.

Joined neighbors in Kingman Park for a public safety walk along 24th St NE after this weekend’s tragic hit-and-run. We addressed traffic and public safety concerns. Grateful to all who came out — safety must remain our top priority.

Joined a public safety walk this morning along Texas Ave SE & E St. Big thanks to Comm. Dawn Cook for organizing. Despite the rain, neighbors showed up to raise concerns on dumping, traffic, and property upkeep. Grateful to walk with you all.

I spoke at the Friends of Kingman Park meeting tonight—grateful to share Ward 7 updates, from budget markups to tomorrow’s community walkthroughs. Appreciate everyone showing up and staying engaged. Our progress depends on all of us.

Had an amazing time out on the Anacostia River today with Anacostia Riverkeeper! Thanks Jay Sweeney for being a great captain! There’s nothing like seeing the river firsthand to appreciate its beauty and potential. Let’s keep working to make the Anacostia clean and thriving!
