Decolonisation is a thoughtful process that requires deep engagement and intention. It's hard work and takes time. One easy, actionable thing you can do today? Yoink all the pith helmets out of the children's exhibits.

I do this all the time. I also email work home to do and usually forget to do it. #WorkLifeBalance is getting better the older I get.
Does anyone else send emails from themselves to themselves with things to remember for Monday or is it just me? 🤪

Grateful for your writing and research @PeggyMcGlone!
I spent 3 months reporting this piece on the @Smithsonian's new collections policy. I interviewed more than 30 experts and visited most of its galleries. Here is some of what I learned: A 🧵 https://t.co/iSVHthXfKQ

Yep, I remember her BS justification vividly. Will we ever see consequences for the lying at the highest levels of our government? Prolly not. Lying is the new normal.
Susan Collins still insists that Gorsuch & Kavanaugh misled (fooled) her. Look, I’m not a lawyer, but I played one in a sketch, & I can tell you that I (and everyone) knew that the Supreme Court can overturn precedent. Oh, and that they were lying. #RoeVsWade

A thread to spend some time with @AAMers.
So I hope we're learning some much-needed hard lessons this weekend at #AAM2022 I hope we're learning about our white supremacy culture & behaviors embedded in the ways we operate. And most importantly, I hope we're learning equitable operations as counter. 🧵27/
