We're in the middle of several animation steps here, and a lot of the last two months' (?!) work isn't on screen yet, but behold! My first test render since re-rigging and re-texturing the characters. Starting over is giving the promised good results! I'd just like them faster.

Taking this #ldjam ultra casually, but at the end of the first night I have already done the most important part. Which is, as we all know (say it with me): calculating the wind chill of an average night on Mars.

This is what I was able to submit to #movingmeditations - more than I expected, but less than my goal. Since I am finishing up the dino characters with teeth, tongues, and rigged eyelids, I may just go ahead and make the environment assets as planned for practice (and pride).

I gathered a robust reference board after initial notes and sketches, and I'm glad I don't have to iron out details too early when I'm learning throughout (haven't even settled on engines). But I'm still not sure how to feel about this solo pragmatic chaos of concepting as I go.

Slow and steady progress on the monster nest environment I'm calling Bee Anemone, including my first bona fide Substance Designer bricks in the fringes and a slightly insane metaballs-born sculpt I'm now neck deep in retopoing.

Ah, the competing desires to A) stay mostly private about gaining assistance with mental health while job-seeking or B) make jokes inviting companies to hire me now at a discount, before I've established more efficient coping mechanisms and self esteem.

I didn't see the point of image generation models like #Imagen and #dalle, but now I do: they can help people *see* model biases that are hard to explain with words (and even formulas!)

It's a stretch every time I return to drawing, let alone humans who are supposed to look like people as specific as the lovely @sineadpersaud and @mkwiles , but trusting the process worked out okay. I might just have to do more fan art until I have the knack. What a hardship.

I deeply enjoyed @shipwrckdcomedy 's "Friends 'til the End" music video last October, and immediately thought of this composition. So I struck while the iron was hot!...and only two and a half seasons later, after signing up for #Dracula Daily, made this. (Spoilers, I guess.🦇😊)
