7/ 📚 These results are critical for shaping our educational practices and early childhood education policies. High-quality pre-K is more vital than ever for our children's future. 🌟#EarlyChildhoodEducation

6/ 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Our pre-K students and families have more needs than ever before. Childcare, transportation, and food are big concerns. 1 in 5 students experienced the loss of a close family member in the past year.

5/  📅 Attendance was a critical issue in 2022-23. Over 50% of 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds were chronically absent. Let's work together to ensure all kids are in school regularly!

4/ 🎒 Good news: 46% of pre-K-4 students were kindergarten-ready in spring 2023, a 2% improvement from the previous year. But we're not back to pre-COVID levels yet.

3/ 😔 40% of pre-K-3 students and 36% of pre-K-4 students in fall had multiple domains of social-emotional risk. Building up social-emotional learning programs and support services is crucial for our children.

2/ 🧠 The 2022-2023 pre-K class had significant developmental needs. More than half of the students were flagged in at least one area on the New Entrants Screening (vision, hearing, motor, and language). Early intervention matters! #ChildDevelopment

1/ Despite the post-COVID challenges, our RCSD pre-K classrooms maintained high quality levels, scoring an average of 5.4 out of 7 using the ECERS-3 measurement tool. Good job, teachers! 👏 #QualityEducation
