A new #HinesLabUGA preprint brought to you by @CFreeChem! Christian used the RPLC-IM-MS, isotope labeling, fluorescence, and TEM to investigate the membrane composition and cell envelope properties of a daptomycin-resistant strain of MRSA.

We focus on studying lipid composition shifts in bacteria. We use several methods, like mass spectrometry, to understand what kind of lipids are present and change as a response to external stimuli. #ARCSScholarTakeover @ARCSFoundation @UGAChemistry @CFreeChem

Data analysis can be hectic, but it’s a crucial part of our research. We work with very large mass spectrometry data files, and they require us to use coding and statistics to find differences. #ARCSScholarTakeover @ARCSFoundation @universityofga @UGAChemistry @CFreeChem
