UC Davis is doing a faculty search for a developmental psychologist focused on socioemotional development and/or health. We are particularly interested in candidates who examine developmental processes in diverse contexts or underrepresented communities.

Two tweets in two days. Wild. I am excited and honored to announce that I’ve accepted a tenure-track position at @UCDavisPsych in the Quantitative Psychology area beginning in July. Couldn’t stage a formal photo op since I have to review some simulation results.

New CFP paper by @RoxieRXCheng shows that temperament trajectories across adolescence have prospective effects on academic outcomes. Increases in effortful control had a particularly strong impact on academic success when parental monitoring was low.

Does anyone know of a Spanish translation of the DSM-5 Level 1 Cross-Cutting Symptom Measure? NIMH is requiring that we use this measure in the CFP but I can't find an "official" (or any) Spanish translation.

There’s a HUGE gap in personality development research–it's focused on the Big 5, but personality is hierarchical! So we know little about processes at higher-order (metatrait) or lower-order (facet) levels. So we studied it! & the results are SO COOL!
