Important exchange on clinical trials. Current legislation is not delivering and needs to be urgently revised. Europe is losing ground to other regions, leading to declining innovation, weaker access, and fragile health systems.

Europe is the world’s powerhouse of vaccine production. Impressive visit at Wavre @GSK site, hosted by SVP Lynn Baxter, shows how AI can increase productivity without compromising quality.

🦠 At #ESCMIDVaccines Lisbon, one of the most exciting topics: The role of vaccines in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Vaccines reduce infections → less need for antibiotics → slowing resistance. Prevention is power. #AMR #vaccineswork 👉 https://t.co/K7tjhm9l0r

One hurdle being that #vaccines are underfunded and their value is underestimated. He noted that data sharing is the first step to data integration, and concluded by saying that the first challenge of AMR is the resistance of humans to change @ESCMID
