“Sorry, I’ve been in back-to-back meetings all day” Unless you're the CEO of the universe, you shouldn't be in back-to-back meetings (unless you want to). That's why my ecourse "Get out of meeting gridlock" is free until Oct31 👇 https://t.co/ja2ZqnXQy9

Back to back meetings This shouldn’t be a thing. “Sorry, I’ve been in back to back meetings” “I can’t, I’m in back to back meetings.” Unless you're the CEO of the universe, you shouldn't be in back to back meetings (unless you want to). I'll help. https://t.co/84HBcEUJMw

Here’s the thing about collaborative working. Coordination is in conflict with concentration. We need both but coordination (i.e. meetings) seems to have a free rein right now. We’re out of balance. I help orgs get back IN balance ⚖️ and make space for deep work.

I'm looking for SIX brilliant people who are seriously thinking about shifting meeting culture over 3 months. Meeting Pioneers is a powerful programme for org change. "This has felt like a game-changer for us" <- Triodos Bank https://t.co/84HBcEUJMw

My definition of clean comms: 1. High honesty 2. High care for the other people 3. High care for the shared goal 1 without 2 or 3 is a whole load of bad things. 1+2+3 is the way to truly listen / empathise AND say your truth / hold your boundaries.

You don’t need to become a master facilitator to run a great meeting but your team will massively appreciate it if you: 👉 share the scope in the invite 👉 find ways to hear everyone’s voice 👉 capture decisions and actions in a shared document

Once I've got to the end of the vegetable aisle, I've lost interest. Soreen, washing up liquid, that'll do for another few days.

Before we get too excited about the four day week where you are paid for five days but work four, can we stop paying people four and expecting them to actually work five?

Every morning. No matter what time I joyfully put the porridge in my bowl. A little red face immediately appears and very politely says “poo…?” And it’s not really the same after we’ve dealt with that.
