This week, California's SAFE Task Force worked with local partners to provide supportive services and housing to Californians at encampments on state property in Fresno and San Diego.

The SAFE Task Force brings state agencies together to clean encampments, connect people with housing and shelter, and expand access to essential services. Together, we’re helping Californians move forward.

For public safety, Caltrans removed 53 encampments & 1000 cub. yds of debris (~43 garbage trucks) from 10/17-23 in Alameda, San Mateo, Tehama, Shasta, Sac, Santa Barb., Santa Cruz, Kern, Fresno, LA, San Bern. & San Joa. Co's. Many of the 211 people affected were offered services.
