Grew up on 90s Knicks but my kids are named after Reed, Monroe & Frazier. All I wanted as a kid was a NYK license plate & somehow I ended up w/a MSG commercial!

THANK YOU @uberkunst for executing my vision of appreciating @nyknicks Champions &.Legends of the past @WaltFrazier @RealEarlMonroe as well as honoring the middle names of my children - Reed, Monroe & Frazier. The picture doesn’t do the painting justice but still had to share!

Like the hire. Collaboration a buzz word in getting annoyed with. FO made the roster, signed FA, made decisions on the coaching staff and then hired the HC. That's not collaboration, that's the FO getting it done there way. And that's OK.
Some things I've heard from sources as we move through the day -- this Knicks search was a long process, lot of research to find who fit that went beyond the 4 coaches who were interviewed -- and what Brown brought that fit is leadership and collaboration.

One guy is under contract and one isn't idk why you'd possible compare them. It's KAT at the 4 v whoever else you can trade Randle for at the 4. That alternative won't be better than KAT. Also KAT can productively play the 5 where Randle can't. That flexibility matters too.
@CAPTAINPEARLNYK Randle is much better than kat when both play the 4.

This is a made up thing led by loud ppl who declared you only make the trade to start KAT at C. You make the trade for a better player under contract when the worse player won't extend and continue to build the best roster possible. Maybe that's at the 5 or 4 or both.
I support starting Mitch because he’s the best player but I’m pretty sure the FO supporting that starting lineup is indicative of them regretting the KAT-Randle trade given that trusting KAT at the 5 is the only way to justify the move.

I'm not sure how much players character matters to me in our pursuit of a ring but. so many called FOs bad for not signing him and/or only signing him to a small and short contract. Not every red flag is a headline like this but could be small like attitude, focus, etc.
Sad to see. When the Wolves let him go, it wasn’t because of his talent. It was largely because they were worried they couldn’t trust him off the court.

RT @NYK_Life11: The man took a $113,000,000 pay-cut, hire his mom to bake cookies for the team if he asks for it.

Everyone wanted "collaboration". That's where thibs failed they said. But now the FO picks players and assistant coaches which is the opposite of that. I mean it is OK IMO - just funny to me I always get a kick out of the TL being inconsistent. Idk how you fire Rick. .
