Yeah, it’s a huge problem. Not only are they brighter, but they emit a higher ratio of higher energy wavelengths, which are more damaging to your eyes. That’s why they are noticeably more painful to look at.
At some point we need an honest conversation about how insanely blinding modern headlights have become

LED headlights hurt your eyes more because they emit a higher ratio of higher energy wavelengths like blue and ultraviolet. They may technically be the same brightness, but they are more damaging. Tell a friend.
