Somerset is one of the last remaining 5 locations in England and Wales still supporting the rare Shrill carder bumblebee - protect the habitats this species and other pollinators need by helping to shape the LNRS.
We are working on a Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) for Somerset. This will provide a single vision for nature recovery and set out local priorities and opportunities for nature. Want to get involved? Visit #SomersetLNRS #NatureRecovery @SomersetLNP

Thistle do nicely! This #ForageFriday we're focussing on all the thistles, like this Creeping Thistle, that are adding a splash of purple to grasslands and verges. They're often busy with #bumblebees in July and Shrills have previously been recorded on thistles π#ShrillCarderBee
