Every time you see a closed pub ask: 'what am I seeing here?' even when there's a sign: "YOU can run this fantastic pub business" there's a VERY different story from what we're told: We all WANT a vibrant welcoming Local pub not a run down husk left by the #GreatBritishPubcoScam
20. Everywhere we go, we should ask "what am I seeing here?". It's often very different from what we are *told* we're seeing. Many of the display boards in our national parks are highly misleading. To see these landscapes clearly, we must peel back layers of comforting lies.

This thought was inspired by a conversation I had the other day in which it was suggested we plasterboard over our original beams because it would be more "efficient" I don't about you but I've never chosen a pub because I was impressed by it's efficiently constructed ceiling 🤔

The older I get and the more people I meet, the more I realise that what's missing in our country is something that can be taught but not measured : Imagination #saveourpub

Cold wet and frosty night for the last steering committee meeting last night. Some new fundraising ideas coming up but otherwise we're still collecting quotes to apply for grants. It's at times like these that a strong vision of a beautiful, busy village pub keeps you going
