Burrenbeo Trust is partnering with Biodiversity officers in counties Galway, Limerick, Sligo, Meath, Offaly, Carlow and Galway City through the Heritage Council's Biodiversity Officer Programme, to be able to offer Hare’s Corners to landowners in these counties.

Last year there were over 3000 volunteer hours contributed to the Trust. This included event support, conservation volunteering, staff hours donated and the time of our voluntary directors. A huge thank you for your time, expertise, good company, and enormous hearts💚

We now have Schools and Community Groups from each county in Ireland that have taken part in our Heritage Keepers programme! These wonderful groups are taking action to explore and enhance their place through projects that benefit their local natural, cultural, and built heritage

Our February Tea Talk will be this Wednesday February 19th at Tubber Hall. Dr Marion Dowd will be sharing insights from cave excavations at Poulbaun. All are welcome to attend. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of €5 to the upkeep of Tubber Hall.

We are incredibly excited to announce that The Hare's Corner is set to open its 2025 application round in early March to landowners in Limerick, Galway, Sligo, Carlow, Meath and Offaly. Applications are open to all, but Burrenbeo members will be prioritised where necessary.

Heritage Keepers is a programme created by Burrenbeo Trust for schools, youth groups and community groups. The programme empowers these groups with tools and grants to explore and enhance the heritage of their local place. CPD webinars are also now open to 4-6th class teachers.
