This government is focused on the cost of living. At @educationgovuk, we're saving families cash: £450 on free breakfast clubs £50 on school uniforms £500 on free school meals £300 on school holiday clubs Now it's confirmed we've halved childcare costs, saving parents £8,000.

You ban North Sea drilling. You ban fracking. You tax customers at the pump. You hit producers with retrospective taxes. And now you have the nerve to turn around and blame rising costs on the fuel companies.

If fuel companies try to rip off customers, my government will step in. @RachelReevesMP and @Ed_Miliband are bringing the bosses of the fuel companies in today, to make sure that customers aren’t losing out because of the conflict in the Middle East.

Britain banned fracking. Closed coal plants. Blocked North Sea licences. Then acted surprised when energy bills exploded.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer thinks that all of the military age men from the 3rd world are coming to Britain because of climate change. No ... they are coming for the free stuff you give them.

No, he still doesn’t get it. If you can’t secure shipping lanes 70% of the resources, goods and food the UK needs won’t arrive. If you fail to deliver energy and data security you can’t grow the economy or protect the NHS. If you don’t modernise our armed forces, you can’t deter

@Keir_Starmer A lower rate of inflation means prices are rising, just not as quickly as before. How are people who don't understand basic economics in charge of our economy???

Seems @PennyMordaunt was spot on. You can’t trust Labour. Labour have pushed up bills, increased inflation, raised taxes and sent unemployment spiralling. The economy has been shattered by Labour. The regret has already set in for many. ⚠️ Never vote Labour ⚠️

Wholesale electricity prices back roughly to where they were in 2019, pre-pandemic, pre-Ukraine. But energy bills never higher. Why? Simples: government policies, pursued by previous Tory governments and the current Labour one, which has doubled down on Tory nonsense. Such as

Cutting the cost of living is my number one priority, and thanks to the choices we have made we are driving inflation down. Our economic plan is the right one, cutting the cost of living, cutting national debt and creating the conditions for growth.

Interest rates would be even lower had you not raised public spending . Inflation is higher than when you took office. Growth is negative when you take immigration in to account .#LabourLiars #economicallyilliterate

Thanks to the choices we've made, we’ve seen six interest rate cuts and inflation is falling. We have the right economic plan to build a stronger and more secure economy, cutting the cost of living, cutting national debt and creating the conditions for growth.

I am so utterly fed up of this constant lie that Britain is absolutely reliant on low-skilled immigration to keep our country dragging along. That is just not true. It's boring and it's wrong. Let’s take the NHS. We’re always told how its built on immigration. Total nonsense.

Is this some kind of sick joke? GDP is up by 0.1%, population is up by about 0.2% so everyone is on average poorer.

Job number one is easing the cost of living pressure that many people still feel. Today’s GDP figures show our economy is growing. That means more money back in your pocket. I know there’s more to do, but we are heading in the right direction.
