The fact we are still facing these challenges in 2024 is beyond disappointing. How many generations of younger girls will have to stop playing football because of this? So sad to see honestly 😢

@TheMatildas @lydsaussie Even I had tears. What our old school Tillies like @lydsaussie & @Bubs_11 and many others have achieved via passion, talent and love for the game is the reason women’s football is the biggest sport in Australia. Thank you Lyds you will be remembered.

Alex Wilkinson (20y 58d) is next longest, although Vukovic should beat that next week - Saturday 11/5 is exactly 21 years since his first finals game.

Kinda crazy that as a society we’ve pretty much forgiven all the shit that Ben Cousins has done because he was really good at footy. No regular man would get away with it, and rightly so, but Cousins doesn’t really deserve to be celebrated, regardless of his drug problem.
