True @PAVECampaign! But also, in the 16yrs before humans drive they use the road as pedestrians, cyclists, scooter riders and passengers. The value of that experience for building a drivers world model suitable for other road user behaviour prediction is often overlooked 👀🤖😇.
Long before we drive, walk, or even crawl, we learn to perceive the world around us. Automated vehicles are not so different: perception is fundamental to how an AV operates.
